EBI IS TURNING 30!

For over 30 years, East Bay Innovations has empowered individuals with disabilities in Alameda County
to live full and independent lives. EBI is a private non-profit organization that now supports about 1,000
individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own homes, to be successfully
employed, and to feel a sense of membership in their community.

When Project SEARCH began at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in 1996, it would have been hard to envision there now being more than 650 U.S. and international Project SEARCH programs. EBI is proud to be included in this count.

Early Educator Apprenticeship Program

Through the California Department of Rehabilitation’s (DOR) Demand Side Employment Initiative (DSEI), EBI has developed a newly-accessible childcare training opportunity: the Early Educator Apprenticeship Program.  This apprenticeship program has been adapted for regional center and/or Department of Rehabilitation clients who would like to work in a preschool, but who need support to complete the classes required for preschool employment.
