Torani Interns live on CBS KPIX 5!

We are thrilled to see our wonderful Torani Interns live on CBS KPIX 5 this morning! Thank you KPIX and Len Ramirez for covering our exciting new Bartista Internship Program with @torani!

“San Leandro, CA – Torani, the 100-year-old Bay Area flavor company, has partnered with East Bay Innovations (EBI) to launch a barista training program designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This pilot program provides hands-on experience and valuable workplace skills that will help participants thrive in café environments and build paths to meaningful work opportunities in the East Bay.
As part of the program, Torani is hosting a pop-up café inside its “Flavor Factory” headquarters from March 4-7, where barista interns will put their new skills into practice. While the café is not open to the public; local community leaders and members of the media are invited to visit and experience firsthand the positive impact of this initiative on Friday, March 7.

‘At Torani, we believe that businesses can and should create more opportunities for everyone, and this partnership with East Bay Innovations and local cafes allows us to do just that,’ said Stacy Cooper Dent, VP of Purpose at Torani.

‘We’re thrilled to partner with Torani to provide meaningful career-building opportunities for individuals with IDD,” said Tom Heinz, Executive Director at East Bay Innovations. “This program is not just about learning barista skills—it’s about fostering confidence, independence, and a pathway to employment in our community.'”
