Children’s Project SEARCH program was selected as a finalist in the Jackson Healthcare’s annual Hospital Charitable Services Awards, a national program that recognizes hospital programs that impact America’s underserved in sustainable ways. UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland is one of just two hospitals in California, the only children’s hospital in California, and one of 5 children’s hospitals in the country to be a finalist. Finalists for the 2014 season were selected from a pool of nominees that spanned 35 states and included 208 programs from 183 hospitals. Award recipients—designated as Programs of Excellence—will be announced at a banquet after the national hospital charitable services conference on February 5, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia.
