Tamy Ratto Receives Honor for Outstanding Advocacy

EBI’s ILS Director Tamy Ratto received the Diane Lipton Memorial Award at the annual California TASH conference. Keith Storey of Touro University and the EBI Board of Directors presented the award to Tamy for her efforts in assisting people with disabilities to be included in their communities. Congratulations Tamy!!

Employment Outcome Highlights

During 2016/2017, 25 individuals were placed in jobs with an average wage of $13.68 per hour.  The range of wages was $10.50 to $30.25 per hour.  Highlights included new paid internship programs, the passage of Senate Bill 644, and development of an internship partnership with Bay Area Rapid Transit.  It took, on average, 240 days to secure employment for our clients.  Job retention, after one year, for individuals placed during 2015/2016 was 85 percent.

Employment Survey Highlights
 
In September and October of 2017, EB received 113 responses to our employment-related surveys.  Of note,  98% of consumers felt their EBI job coach worked well with them.  All employers considered the performance of their employee/intern either Excellent or Good in most areas.  And, 98% of Family Members and Friends reported satisfaction with the EBI’s advocacy efforts.
